Extended description of the initiative
Korean Air is the national airline of South Korea, its hub is located in Seoul.
Recognized globally for its high standards of services and safety, the airline has a modern fleet of 132 aircraft, with daily flights to over 100 destinations worldwide.
Innovative and attentive to the continuous demands of the market, Korean Air has also contributed to the foundation of Skyteam, the prestigious global alliance of the most important airlines.
How to accumulate points with the initiative
Volare points for flights sold by Korean Air:

Enter your Volare code when booking and/or checking-in to automatically earn Volare points.
If two weeks have passed since the date of your flight and points have not been automatically credited or you have not entered your Volare code when booking and/or checking-in, you can request the points to be credited through the “Request points” function available in your personal area.
Thanks to the “Request points” function, you will be able to enter your ticket information by filling out the appropriate sections and request your Volare points to be credited. Remember to keep your ticket handy. To make it easier for you to submit your points request, you will find below data related to Korean Air:
- Three-digit ticket number code: 180
- Airline code: KE
To submit the points credit request:
- At least 14 days have to be passed since the date of the flight.
- Points have to be claimed within 12 months from the date of the flight.
- The request can only be made for flights operated by Korean Air starting from November 9, 2022.
Effective Sunday, October 26, 2025, ITA Airways and Korean Air will conclude their partnership.
As a result, starting from that date, Volare members will no longer be able to accrue points on Korean Air operated flights, and likewise, Korean SKYPASS members will no longer earn miles on ITA Airways-operated flights.
Terms and Conditions
- As of November 9, 2022.
- All flights sold* by ITA Airways even if operated by Korean Air are subject to the Volare program rules regarding the accumulation of points (link al regolamento Volare);
- For all flights sold** directly by Korean Air, Volare Members accumulate points according to the table to which then the multipliers of the Club they belong to are to be added: Plus +10%; Premium +20%; Executive + 30%;
- The following classes A, O, G, V, X do not contribute to the accumulation of Volare points.
- All flights on Korean Air qualify and contribute to the achievement and/or renewal of the Club you belong to;
- Points will only be credited on flights operated by ITA Airways or with Partner carriers with whom a frequent flyer agreement has been signed;
- To accumulate Volare points, it is necessary to enter your Volare frequent flyer code when booking and during check-in. If not, no Volare points will be credited.
*It refers to flights issued with the ITA Airways ticket code (055) and the flight code AZ
**It refers to flights issued with the Korean Air ticket code (180) and the flight code KE
